Andrews-Gobebel, N. (2002). The pot that juan built. China: Lee & Low Books Inc. 15 pp. ISBN:
     1-58430-038-8
This book has gained awards such as Notable Children's Books, Children's Book Award (primary nonfiction), Texas Bluebonnet Award, etc. The book is a non-fiction piece that describes how Juan Quezada, a potter in Mexico uses clay to make pottery. The story is based in Mexico in the village of Mata Ortiz. This town used to be improvised, but now it has become filled with great potters thanks to Juan. The story describes how Juan makes his clay with a short passage on each page that tells a story. Each page also describes more explanatory details about the process. The end of the book shows real life photos of the process in action. The book could be used like "When Clay Sings", an art class would benefit from this book. The book could be used to show how different cultures work. For example, how a culture that had nothing used the resources around them to become something.
